Scheduled Refresh Grey
I have split the dataset from my report and published both to the Service (The dataset has a scheduled refresh enabled).
- The dataset contains all of the Measures and Calculated columns that can be common to multiple reports. (Golden dataset)
- The report contains only those Measures and Calculated columns that are specific to that report (So the report has a 'Local copy' of the Model).
The report does not refresh when the Dataset scheduled refresh is run and I cannot schedule a refresh on the local model of the report.
How can I schedule a refresh for my report?

Hi Anonymous ,
The description of the problem is not very clear. What is your data source?
For most data sources, when you publish a PBIX file to the Service, a report and corresponding dataset will be displayed. Then you can create multiple reports based on this dataset. If you want to refresh the report, you need to refresh its dataset.

Hi Winniz,
Thanks for the quick response.
I have a Golden Dataset (PBI dataset) the schedule refresh works fine. I have a "Thin" report that points at the PBI dataset, the "Thin" report is a composite model, so it has a local copy of the Golden Dataset. I cannot schedule a Scheduled Refresh on the model of the "Thin" report. I can manually refresh it but no scheduled option.
Thanks, Steven

Hi Anonymous ,
Do you mean that your report uses the Direct Query mode to connect to the dataset, and then connect to the another data source?
if so, have you configured the correct credentials?
If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.
