Hi,
My PowerBI service runs a little weird and I might need some help to fix the issue. My refresh for datasets fail every second day or so. The schedule is to run 3 times a day. In the past 5 weeks I have got around 20 failed refresh messages.
Is there any way I can fix the issue?
I get the following email after the failed attempt:
Failure details: The last refresh attempt failed because of an internal service error. This is usually a transient issue. If you try again later and still see this message, contact support.
{"error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_TimeoutError","pbi.error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_TimeoutError","parameters":{},"details":[],"exceptionCulprit":1}}} Table: EurRapid_D.

Hi , @hirmalik
According to your description, when you refresh your dataset , it may return the "DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_TimeoutError" error code .
For this issue , you can check this:
(1)Whether the latest version of the data gateway is installed.
(2)Is your dataset in a shared capacity or a premium capacity? If the maximum refresh limit is 2 hours for shared capacity, 5 hours for Premium capacity. If you want to refresh successfully on Power BI Service, you need to control the amount of your data.
(3)If you face the "command timeout error" , you can refer to this case:
Solved: How to set command timeout option - Microsoft Power BI Community
(4)Check whether the gateway computer has sufficient memory and CPU resources when you refresh it.Try to reduce the amount of data for refreshes to test whether too much data is causing too much resource consumption, resulting in timeouts.
Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!
