Scheduled Refresh Disable/Error

Hello Community!

I have a few reports that have scheduled refreshes setup and have been running normally for months now, not much change in terms of data sources has been done, the majority of the work/adjustments have been done on the visuals and dax measures/columns, etc.

A couple days back I started getting an error on several of these reports saying I can't schedule refreshes for this dataset because some of the data sources do not support refreshes:

Following that I proceeded to remove one of the data sources from one of the reports which is an Excel workbook saved on a sharepoint document folder. Aside from that this specific dataset is connected to a Smartsheet wokrsheet, a SharePoint List and 2 other online excel workbooks.. Never had any issues with refreshes, all refreshes were completed with 15 to 35 mins in the past and was running 8 successful refreshes a day. Any advice on what to look for other than datasource refresh compatibility (which I already validated multiple times before), or where to report this issue properly?

Thank you in advance!

*Edit: I failed to mention that republishing the dataset allows me to schedule a refresh but upon applying and refreshing the error message appears again.

I've seen the exact same behavior in the past few days, clearly one of several bugs currently plaguing dataflows.

Hi @samnf

Are these going via the Gateway or directly?

I would suggest try and see if you can get it working via the Gateway?

Hello @GilbertQ ,

These are going through Direct Query, running them through a gateway yields the same result, seems this is being somewhat affected by the current PBI refresh issues as it seems to go back to normal operations after some down time or a rather long refresh.

It seems it's just best to keep monitoring it while also monitoring updates from PBI on the scheduled refresh statuses.

Thank you!

Yeah there can be challenges at times with dataflows. Hopefully it should be fixed soon!
