Hello Microsoft community,
I'm using Power BI Premium per User capacity and I have a requirement to schedule daily data refresh for my SQL data source in Power BI Service. However, I don't have an on-premises server available. I would like to know if there are any alternative options to achieve this.
Details:
Power BI Capacity: I'm using Power BI Premium per User
Data Source: MY SQL database
Refresh Frequency: I need to set up a daily scheduled refresh for the data.
Connection: As I don't have an on-premises server, I'm looking for alternative options to refresh the data directly from the MY SQL database.
Please share any insights or information on alternative options available to achieve scheduled daily data refresh in Power BI Premium per User capacity without an on-premises server. If there are any specific considerations or limitations to be aware of, kindly provide those details as well.

One option you could consider is using the Power BI On-premises data gateway. This gateway allows you to securely connect your on-premises data sources to Power BI, and schedule refreshes for your data.
However, since you mentioned that you don't have an on-premises server, another option you could consider is using Azure Data Factory to copy data from your MySQL database to Azure SQL Database or Azure Synapse Analytics. Once the data is in Azure, you can then use Power BI to connect to the Azure data source and schedule refreshes.
