Scenario to transfer user comments to SQL with PowerApps and Flow

I'd like to add a feature into my report that enables end users to add comments. I'd like to add these comments to my SQL database and link them back to my report. I'm not using Power BI Report Server.

Scenario:

  • Add button or link to report that triggers PowerApps.
  • PowerApps has a form for commenting.
  • When user is done with commenting, user will trigger a Flow that transfers data to SQL database.

I already know how to do the second and third bullet. First one is a tricky for me.

Is this scenario even possible?

Take a look at the PowerApps visual:

Walk through of using the PowerApps custom visual in Power BI

Which should be able to meet your requirements.

Michael

When you publish your PowerApp, do you get a link to your app? Clicking that link you'll get directed to the webpage of that app...
