Restrict access at report level within published App

We have a publised App with 10+ reports.  There are 4 reports containing sensitive data and should only be viewed by managers and positions above.

Within published App, is it possible to assign report access right at report level?  If no,  can anyone point out the documentation that states the limitation?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to restrict access to specific reports in an APP. What you can do is either create two separate workspaces, segregate the reports and publish the apps based on which Apps you want to be visible. . Alternatively, you could exclude confidential reports from the APP and share them as reports only with relevant users.

Hi @MikeKKK ,

that's not possible at the moment. Currently you can only publish one app per workspace. This app will then always contain the same reports.

However, you could limit the access of user 2 in the report with row level security. Like this he could open the report, but it won't contain any data.

Sorry about that. There is this idea under review since a while. Hopefully the feature of multiple apps per workspace will come soon:

Microsoft Idea  · Create multiple apps from same workspace (powerbi.com)

That said, if all data comes from the same reports, do the reports constantly have to be updated in each workspace? I have seven reports compiling relevant data across Ownership, Sales, CSRs, Purchasing, Production, and Field Services. If this calls for seven workspaces, times seven reports each, updating will become a heavy lift.

Suggestions?
