Requirements before using PowerBI

Hello,

I would like to try PowerBI (free version) but I have some questions before subscribe and download it.

My sources data are contained in csv and excel files and I would like them to be updated each day. With the free version of PowerBI, the solution it's to put files in onedrive and connect PowerBI desktop to my onedrive. Is it correct ?

After creating dashboards with PowerBI desktop, I have to use PowerBI services to share dashboards with other peole. With the free version of PowerBI, I can share dashboards with the e-mail of other people, they just have to have PowerBI in there computer. Is it correct ?

I just have to subscribe and download PowerBI to be able to use it or I need some technical architecture first ?

Thanks you.

Correct, your data sources need to be in the cloud and not on-premises for the Free version to update them on an automatic schedule.

Also correct, the other people just need to also be Power BI subscribers (they don't need Power BI "in their computer"), it's just a license thing (account).

You technically don't even have to subscribe. You just have to download the Desktop and install it. No technical architecture is ever required unless you need to refresh on-premises data sources and then you need to install a gateway.

Hello,

Is the daily free refresh also accurate for Sharepoint files or files?

Thanks
