Hi Team,
I have created the "Report B" based on the "Report A" datamodel (DirectQuery to AS - Power BI Dataset ). When I refresh the "Report A", Report B should get refreshed automatically but that is not happening for me.
And one more things is, along with Report B there is one more dataset got generated corresponds to Report B.
Not sure, what is happening here and it is completely based on DirectQuery (Report B pointed Report A data model).
How can I refresh Report B when I trigger the refresh for report A.
Thanks- Masthanaiah
Hi @Masthi
Just for info, the connection mode AAS - Power BI Dataset is rather Live connection mode and not DQ.
If I understood correctly Report B is on Live connection to Dataset A and another Dataset ? like a Composite model, is it not? if so then the other dataset needs to be refreshed as well.

Hi @aj1973 Thanks for your quick response.
All the tables in Report A are based on Import method (Not composite model). Report B UI was designed based on Report A datamodel. How I did connect from Report B to Report A is Get data-->Power BI datasets-->Choosen the Report A dataset in Power BI service.
Please do let me know if you have any confusions.
Thanks - Masthanaiah
If this is the correct lineage of Report B then it shouldn't be a problem refreshing after dataset A is refreshed. However I don't understand when you said along with Report B there is one more dataset got generated corresponds to Report B.
Can you please show me the lineage of both reports?
