Helper IIRelationship in Power BI Service
Hi, I saw some posts in 2017 and 2018 that only in PBI desktop can alter data model/dataset but cannot do that in PBI. It's 2022, so does it still work that way? Can I see the relationship in PBI Service now?

Hi. There are ways to change some things about the data model that is published in service with external tools (xmla endpoint) or power bi desktop. However, you won't be able to modify data model from power bi service.
About relationships, if you mean checking the following picture in service, you can't do it:

No. This is the same as the REST API question. You can only modify models in the service via the XMLA endpoint with tools like tabular editor, and they must have XMLA read/write enabled for the workspace, and be Premium or Premium Per User. Cannot be done with Pro.

In 2023 you can now view the data model in service. I think you have to be the published of the dataset though, not sure.
You still can not modify the relationships on the service but you can add measures and columns.You can add a new table with DAX which would allow you to create a new table based on a relationship.
By the way I ran into this post because I was looking to modify the relationship in the service.
I don't know whether this has a license level requirement.
