Generally, I would expect the admin settings to work but maybe something else is going on

This is a Direct Query dataset connected to a streaming.
I don't see the option for incremental refresh.

Sorry, yes you are right. Can you share what you see for automatic page refresh in Power BI Desktop?

It does not allow for selection of "seconds" and the "Change detection" option is greyed out:

Hmm ok, sorry I really don't know... I also could not find the data sources that support DirectQuery anymore, they changed that in the docs?!
