There is no option to directly delete the recents. You can contact the tenant admin once and check though.

Even I'm unaware if we can even delete it. Hence mentioned tenant admin needs to check. What I'm sure about is as a normal user even with Admin role over workspace, this can't be done.

Can you yourself check in various sections of the tenant admin settings? You can use below link for ease:

You can also raise a concern with MS Support and they can clarify quickly if it can be even deleted.
