Real-Time Data on Hololens

Hi everyone,

 

I am streaming data using API to a report and dashboard I have created using PowerBI. The data updates when I am on PowerBI browser; however, when using the Hololens 2 to view the data, the data does not update. Is there any way to have the data update atleast every minute?

    Hi Anonymous ,

     

    If you are using Hololens2 then when the data is updated,  the reports/dashboards you are viewing also update.  (Reports and dashboards update while you’re using the app, so if data changes in Power BI while you’re using the app, you’ll see those changes reflected in the reports and dashboards you’re viewing. - from Power BI for HoloLens 2 (preview) - Power BI | Microsoft Docs )  Therefore, if you are wanting more frequent updates, I believe that depends on your license type and how often you are updating.

      Thanks collinq,

       

      But the problem I am having is that the data is updating in real time when on the PowerBI browser however the data is not updating at all when viewing from the hololens.

        Hi Anonymous ,

        Are you using the Power BI app for Hololens 1 or Hololens 2?

        I suggest you reinstall the Power BI app based on download the app from the store .
