R scripts in published Power BI page

Are there any indications floating out there as to when R scripts will be able to run on a published Power BI page? As it stands, desktop only is not very useful as it's a typical stakeholder will probably be overwhelmed by having to open Desktop Power BI and it's GUI.

I'm also curious as to what additional services will be required to run R scripts on a published Power BI dashboard. Will I need my own R server to manage the various plugins?
