Quick Insights not available when using Gateway

Is it right that Quick Insights is not available when using Gateway?

Hi @nankerp,

 

No. As stated from this article:

 

Quick Insights is not available in Power BI Desktop and does not work with DirectQuery - it only works with data uploaded to Power BI.

 

Based on my test, the tile/dataset get data from data source use DirectQuery or Live connection(eg: SSAS) will not support Quick Insights feature. This feature requires data imported.

It also seems that if you refresh data, or have a data refresh configured it does not work either.  This almost seems like a bug.  I am not using direct query, I am uploading data and then scheduling a full refresh.  When I do this Quick insights is not available, even though the data is technically uploaded.
