Question about compiste models requirements

I have this option disabled:

Allow XMLA Endpoints and Analyze in Excel with on-premises semantic models

Az it was considered security risk by security guys on initial setup. Now some users want to use composite models -> will those work at all with this option disabled?

Not really sure why it should be enabled as micorosoft seems to suggest - as it seems XMLA endpoint is to connect to model using other software so what does it have to do with composite models that users will use exclisively in powerbi.

Hi @Anonymous

As far as I know this is required because it needs to use the XMLA endpoint to connect to the semantic model.
