Question Regarding DataFlows and DataMarts

Hi all,

I have a question regarding DataFlows and DataMarts.

If I have a DataFlow/DataMart in my workspace and use some tables to a semantic model, do I have duplication of data? Do the data take space multiplied by the semantic models are added in?

What are the limitations of DataFlows and DataMarts (Number of Queries, size etc)

Thank you in advance,

Eleftheria

dataflows are a data source for semantic models. A datamart is not a semantic model, it is a SQL Server strapped on to the dataflow's files.  So yes, a datamart uses more storage than the dataflow alone but that additional cost is hidden from you.

What are the limitations of DataFlows and DataMarts

How much time do you have?  This is a very loaded question.

@lbendlin Data in a Dataflow and the same data to semantic model using the dataflow, do we have duplication in storage?
