Query on Copilot for report creation

Copilot for Power BI is currently in preview, and there are some limitations regarding the types of visuals it can generate. Certain complex visual types, such as clustered column charts, key influencers may not always be generated as expected. Instead, Copilot might create separate charts or apply different color variations within a single chart. If the generated visuals are not aligning with your expectations, this could be due to these current limitations.

To improve Copilot’s ability to generate the right visuals, you may want to update your data model.

Ensuring proper relationships between tables, and structuring the data at the right level of granularity can help Copilot interpret the data more effectively.

If Copilot still does not generate the expected clustered column chart, manual adjustments may be necessary. As Copilot is still evolving, future updates may improve support for additional visuals.
