Good morning,
I'm wondering what sort of issues would cause one user to receive an error on a table visualization:
And myself, the creator of the published .pbix, to have the visualtions function properly:
I had created this table visualtion using a manually entered tablle of part names and then related the manually created table to our ERP data to bring in the appropriate figures. I made the manual table using Excel and copying and pasting the values using PowerBI's "Enter Data" button in the Power Query editor. This produced a data source that begins:
= Table.FromRows(Json.Document(Binary.Decompress(Binary.FromText...
I created the table because I was worried about using a local file as a data source in a published .pbix. I had recently run across this issue and assumed that creating a table in the .pbix instead of targeting an Excel file would avoid it. That issue being a local file wasn't accessible with our data gateway which is installed on our company's server and not ony my PC. However, I seem to be having the same problem here even though I was under the impression that baking the table directly into the .pbix file would avoid this.
Any help would be appreciated. The goal being to link the table that's baked into the .pbix file to the visualization that's published to the service though independently of the data gateway.
Thank you,
-Tommy

Fixed it. User had visualization specific filters in place and was unaware that there could be multi-level filters at play. Visualization filters were not showing up when visualization was not selected. I now know to prompt this when troubleshooting.
