Problems with Get Data and Recent Sources

When working with different data sources or source queries, this setup seems a little strange.  First off, does Recent Sources store all of the data sources I've used, and do these work cross project?  Also, are these stored forever?  It would be nice just to select from a drop down or list when I click Get Data and find data sources I have saved for myself.  Also, queries seem to be excluded completely from Recent Sources.

This is posted in Service, are you referring to Power BI Desktop? If so, Recent Sources are cross PBIX files and only includes distinct data sources, not queries. Queries are not data sources. Not sure how "recent", recent is...

Correct, this is Power BI Desktop.  And as far as Recent Sources not containing queries becuase they're not "sources"... true.  But I would still like a way to save these source queries for later use, and right now I'm not seeing a way to do that.

Something is wrong!  I am a novice with Power BI but when I click on Recent Sources I get <server name>:<database name> 8 times. Each one with a different query.

My question is how do I delete Data Sources in Recent Sources?

But the issue is still there. I have queries, why did you say queries are not there?
