I have a premium workspace setup
I have Enhanced compute engine settings turned on
I have incremental refresh settings turned on to only get the past 7 days
I refreshed the data to initalize
I DID NOT set a refresh schedule because from what I understand DirectQuery does not need to be refreshed. I added the incremental only to limit to the past 7 days. I could have done the same thing by filtering Rows?
In power BI desktop I have imported the table via DirectQuery
I put a card to count the lines and it shows its refreshing, but the new rows are not coming over
I'm confused how to make this work. It seems to be reading from the dataflow and not my data source. Do I have to setup refresh every 30 minutes for the data flow and the report page refresh?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Yes you need to refresh the dataflow, the direct query is only for reading data from the dataflow.
