I have a PowerBI Pro license on my account but no Fabric yet.
There are reports I maintain in PowerBI Service and occassionally adding more for my Free PowerBI report consumers. These reports were published to web.
What will be impact on my published reports with the new PowerBI - Fabric integration?
Do I have to get a Fabric SKU to keep using my current PowerBI Service and Workspaces?
Thanks,
Michael

Hi ,With the integration of Microsoft Fabric into Power BI, there are some key points to be aware of regarding the impact on your existing reports and licensing requirements.
Your published reports to the web that are accessed by free Power BI users should not be affected immediately by the Fabric integration. The primary focus of Fabric is to unify analytics and data storage across multiple services (Power BI, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, etc.), but it does not change the core functionality of Power BI reports that are published to the web.
However, you may notice enhancements in features and performance as Fabric becomes more integrated, especially if you decide to use its features like OneLake, Lakehouse, and notebooks. These are not required for your current setup but will become useful for more advanced scenarios.
You do not need a Fabric SKU to continue using your Power BI Pro license or maintain your current workspaces in Power BI Service. Your current license will allow you to:
If you want to leverage advanced Fabric features (like integrating data pipelines, data engineering, or data science workloads), you would then need to explore Fabric SKUs. But for regular Power BI report development and sharing, your Pro license will suffice without any immediate need to upgrade.
Let me know if you'd like more details on the advanced features or further clarifications!

Hi @EmEm ,
If you're already using the Power BI service, you now also have Fabric and all of its extra workloads and capabilities. There's nothing to migrate from Power BI to Fabric. All of your Power BI content is available in Fabric. Your workspaces are still there. Your reports are still in your workspaces. The user interface for Power BI is unchanged. The same capabilities are there. Use Power BI the same way in Fabric as you did when it was a standalone service.
