I have setup a report with a dynamic dataset and a dataflow. Dataflow consists of a dataset which is refreshed daily and hence required a scheduled refresh. The dynamic dataset requires manually refresh once a year. Now after dataflow being refreshed I can see new data in the table but the visuals don't update. The load and direct refresh settings have already been enabled, still the visuals don't update automatically. Please help, thanks in advance.
I've moved this topic to the Power BI forum given that the description and title of the scenario are more closely related to a semantic model and Power BI reports rather than the action of a Dataflow as stated in my previous reply.
I'm not sure I follow. What does your Dataflow Gen2 does? What's the destination that you've set to it and how does the dataflow relates to the final report?
Dataflow doesn't have a direct relationship with reports in terms of Power BI reports. Dataflow Gen2 can only load data to a destination which can be either a Lakehouse, Kusto Database, SQL Database, or a Data Warehouse. Dataflow Gen2 doesn't load data directly to a report.
Are you using an import mode semantic model?
Is your setup like this:
Dataflow -> Power BI semantic model (import mode) -> Power BI Report
If so, you need to refresh the Power BI semantic model in order to see the current dataflow data in the report visuals.
Hi no, as I have mentioned above they are separate, but both are in import mode and feeding one report.
I think it could help us to understand if you draw a sketch, or take a screenshot of the lineage view, to show how your items are related. Thanks.
Please also specify if you are using a Power BI Dataflow or a Dataflow Gen2. Thanks
