Good day all
I am doing a current migration for Power BI reports.
I have set up a test environment and duplicated the Clients environment.
I downloaded sample reports and published the it to Power BI and set up a connection
- Connect a SQL server to the Data source
My issue here is the reports are not connected and not able to refresh, do I edit the server and database details for each report in PBI Desktop?
The data source connects to SQL but my reports still have erros
Both of your data sources are "bad".
One is located on someone's computer hard drive. Move that file to a sharepoint or OneDrive.
The other data source expects the SQL server to be on the same machine as the gateway. That is not recommended for a variety of reasons ( massive performance impact, and unsuitable for gateway clusters). Change that onnection to point to a proper separate SQL server.
