Power BI Subscription Service Blank Image Attachment

Hi all I'm currently experiencing some issue on my Power BI Subscription Service.

The email that is being sent by Power BI is a blank image. I've tried resending it manually through "run now" for 4 times and it does not fixed it (usually it does).

It has been running smoothly for the last couple of weeks but I've been experiencing this for the last week.

Thanks everyone.

This may happen when the account running the subscription is not able to access the source or hits a RLS restriction on data so report screenshot is not built. Please check for the user which created subscription if that ahs proper access and is able to see report!

The subscription is managed and created by the on-premise gateway account which the account also publishes the dashboard hence there should not be any RLS restriction.

and as I said before it runs smoothly over the last couple weeks until the last week it started to have this issue.

    Hi,

    There are few limitations

    "

    • Currently, email subscriptions for reports/dashboards using live connection datasets aren't supported when subscribing users other than yourself.
    • If any dashboard tiles have row level security (RLS) applied, those tiles will not display.
    • You can't subscribe other users to a report that has row level security (RLS) applied.

    Thanks,

    Shanthakumar.

The report is not currently using any live connections and there are no RLS applied.

      Thanks.

  • Probably not very helpful but I had a similar issue which was resolved by adjusting the formatting so that all tiles were centred and then triggering a manual run.

I can't even figure out why that would've fixed it but worth a try if you're still stuck
