Power BI Premium Data Alerts

Hi all,

 

Is it possible for users in a premium capacity to set up data alerts on cards within a power BI dashboard? Or can only pro users do this?

    Hi Anonymous ,

     

    I don't think the issue is in regards to licensing - I think the issue is in regards to permissions.  I am not positive, but I don't think that users with "Viewer" permission can create alerts.  I think the other roles can set alerts.

      Hi Collinq, thanks! Is there a way to promote users to a role that does allow warnings in a workspace where you dont want to make them all owners? And what implications might the new role have?

        You may test with the viewer role and see if they can make an alert - I hope I am wrong that they cannot.  Let us know how that goes.
