Power BI New Deployment Pipeline

I work as a power bi admin and this new pipeline view came up today. This was unexpected and I was able to switch out of it to the old one. However, we are concerned that the deployment pipeline eventually be migrated to the new one, that there is some difference between the two that we are not aware of. What are the differences/updates in the new vs old pipeline?

The process in our organization is that the Analysts only publish dashboards from power bi Desktop to Development, and then we (power bi admins) promote reports for them, from Dev to Test to Prod.
