We can choose to close the error, but the client won't work as it should. It is not possible to load in any datasources whatsoever. We have contacted Microsoft Support that even though they have been of great help sofar, they have not been able to solve the issue as well. Perhaps the community had a similar issue and can help us.
We noticed that people mentioned this was not happening on personal computers or machines that were Azure workplace joined. That made me remove the machine from the domain, unfortunately the issue persisted. However, as soon as we rejoined the machine in the domain the issue was resolved, but only for a few days. After about 4-5 days the problem returned out of nowhere. There is probably a trigger, but we have no idea what it could be.
Is there anyone with a similar issue? Please let me know if more information is needed, would be awesome if this could be resolved.
Hi @svanzundert,
How about the results after you update the Power BI desktop version to the September version 2.50.4859.502.
By the way, I notice your issue is reported internally with PG team and engineers are working on it now. I will keep an eye on it, if there is any update, will let you know.

Hello,
Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately the update did not help us on this matter. Indeed Microsoft support is working on it as well but wanted to post here too. Someone might actually have had a similar issue not yet reported which could help more people than just us.
Hi @svanzundert,
There is a new Power BI desktop version 2.50.4859.782 released on 9/21/2017. Would you please try it again to see if the same issue happens?
Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu
