PostgreSQL connection Via Power BI Service
Hello,
I have a Power BI report in which i am using PostgreSql source. but i cant set up connection in Power BI Service.
In desktop it works fine.
In Service it writes me this:
and i have installed the Npgsql and still gives me this error.
please help

I could not solve this. but using ODBC Driver and VPN Connection it works. So solution is to make some virtual machine on which gateway will run basically. I don't know any other way

Where did you install it? On all gateway cluster members?

Providing you a few points which might assist you in resolving the error :1.Ensure that the On-Premises Data Gateway is configured properly and verify that the gateway is up and running.
2.In Power BI Desktop, go to Transform Data > Data Source Settings and check the credentials, server name, and database name details that are entered correctly in Power BI Service.
3.Update the Gateway to the latest version.
4.Ckeck if there are any firewall or network issues preventing Power BI Service from accessing your PostgreSQL database.If this post helps, please give us Kudos and consider Accept it as a solution to help the other members find it more quickly.
it automatically selects Cloud Connection
I also use VPN to connect via Power BI Desktop, but it should not matter with cloud yes?
