Possible Double Hop scenario while using enterprise connector?

this is the overview of what I'm doing

Created Tabular model with row level security

did dirsycn using new AD connect tool

installed enterprise gateway on same machine as SSAS instance

created power bi report based on this model and there security works fine.

Published report to one of the new account created by dirsync

Added data source under gateway.. (however it asked for user name and password which i provided so not sre whether it uses cached credential or logged in user)

Now when I click on report I get error

An unexpected error occurred.

Version13.0.800.377

Gethelp doesn't help.

in event viewer under security I see following

An account failed to log on.

Subject:
Security ID: NT SERVICE\MSOLAP$MSSQL14T
Account Name: MSOLAP$MSSQL14T
Account Domain: NT Service
Logon ID: 0x18398

Logon Type: 3

Account For Which Logon Failed:
Security ID: NULL SID
Account Name:
Account Domain:

Failure Information:
Failure Reason: Unknown user name or bad password.
Status: 0xc000006d
Sub Status: 0xc0000064

I tried connecting to my SSAS using SSPI=Kerberos and that failed so for a fact I know that Kerberos is not setup properly.

So are my reports failing due to possible double hop scenario or it is something else?

Did I miss anything in my analysis?

Thanks,

Dilkush
