Permanent Filters for the final and regular users
- Anonymous2 years ago
Thanks for the reply from SaiTejaTalasila , please allow me to provide another insight:
Hi,kleber1976Users do have the ability in Power bi to set persistent filters that allow end users to save their preferred filter settings. When they return to the report, Power BI retains the filters, slicers, and other data view changes they made, allowing them to pick up where they last left off.
1.Below are the steps to find persistence filters in the service:
In Power BI Services, open the report in read mode and navigate to File > Settings.
Under the Report Settings pane, look for the Persistent Filters option, which is off by default, meaning that the service saves the filters you set.
If your users do not see filters saved make sure to check the "Allow filters to be saved on this report" option.
Here is the documentation for this:
Format filters in Power BI reports - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
2.If you are not satisfied with the filters, you can also reply by selecting the "Reset to Default" option in the service's report.
Below is the documentation for this:

3.Of course if you want to embed reports for your organization, here is the documentation on how to implement persistent filters:
Enable persistent filters in a Power BI embedded analytics application | Microsoft Learn

Hi kleber1976 ,
You can check query string parameters-
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-url-filters
Or you can go for RLS
Hello SaiTejaTalasila thanks for your attempet to find a solution, but I think you did not get my point.
Your recommendation did not fit to my goal. I wish that every single final users in diferents location can open the BI service in the cloud with the filters that best fits to individually person or purpose. I can not say that your recommendation is a solution. All in all, thank you!
