Performance

Hi,

I feel that my power bi performance is significantly slow, so i wanted to know what are the Standards based on which the performance is judged and what can i do to increase the performance ?

@Sumit25250 hello, about your performance, where are you getting low perfomance ? Into PBI Desktop or Service Cloud?

 

is what the type of connection? imported or direct?

One of the key things that I find with performance issues is sometimes related to the way the data model has been built. I would suggest making sure that your data is modeled with the Star Schema, where there are Dimension and Fact tables.

Following on from that the next potential performance area is the DAX measures, which ties into the Star Schema above. You can have the same DAX measure written in a different way and one can be super fast and one can be very slow.

You can use tools like DAX Studio to have a look at the DAX measure performance.
