PPU User's Workspace Report sharing with general user doesn't have license

I'm ppu user on administrated workspace for business unit.

1. I gave related viewer access to users as 'grant access' menu on the power bi workspace, but it doesn't sync any minute for each user's to access. does it take some time to allocate viewer access to power bi ppu user's report on power bi workspace?

2. I granted access some power bi report to general user on Power BI premium workspace and they don't have any Power BI license. instead, I'm Power BI Premium for user unit user, in charge of workspace admin role with premium license setting's on. Still, the users don't have right of access with license check notice. any other workaround left in this case?

If there's any idea, please let me know.

Thank you in advance.

  • Hi StanleyKim That is the Premium Per User capacity and your user will require a PPU license. The Premium Capacity is the one below that.

  • Hi StanleyKim In short, if it is a PPU workspace, the develoepr and viewer requrires a PPU license.

If the user doesn't have a PPU or Pro license, then your workspaces needs to be on Premium Capacity.

If the workspace is on Shared Capacity, then the developer and viewer requires a Pro license.
