I have put two reports into the new Org App feature. However, I'm having an issue with the slicers not maintaining the last used settings between sessions.
Every time I come back into a report, whether moving between reports or coming back into the Org App, the slicers are reset to whatever the intial default slicer settings were. It will not maintian my slicer settings. This is not an issue with Workspace Apps and makes Org Apps not worth pursuing at this point.
Any idea what could be causing this or when a fix will be available?

Hello @arock-well ,
Apologies for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, Microsoft has not provided a specific General Availability but is actively working on it.
Thank you.
This is is a major deal breaker for us as well, and our experience is even worse than described above. We have many reports each with several pages where sclicers are synchronised across pages within the same report. This works perfectly fine when the reports are opened directly from a workspace or when part of a workspace app.
However, when the reports are used from an Org. app, they are reset even when the users move from one page to another within the same report. I really hope this is not considered a "feature", but a bug that will be fixed.
Synchronising slicers between pages is absolutely a feature of Power BI and the Power BI, and they are actually quite important for our users. They may accept resets across sessions, but not when navigating within a report.
Microsoft support contacted me, and confirmed that this is a known issue (resetting slicers), and that they are working with fixing it. No guarantees, but hopefully we may see this in the next release maybe within a month or two 🙂 If, so, that would be very nice. For me "the next big thing" with org. apps would be the ability to target different audiences with different content in the same app.
The guy from Microsoft was really nice and helpful.

If you haven't done already, vote for this idea regarding this issue: Make Org App Slicer Selections Persistent - Microsoft Fabric Community
Thanks, and yes, I already had. Suprisingly few votes with this issue. I have also registered a support case with Microsoft, classified at lowest priorioty (my choice) with "expected response within 8 working hours". Hopefully, they will respond tomorrow or after the weekend?
We have also found that even if the filter is set to sync across pages in a report it does not hold the filter. We even tested moving the filters to the filters pane all pages of report section they will reset when moving from page to page. Are there any suggestions on how we can get around this issue right now?
Hello @arock-well,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum and for sharing your idea link.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We understand your desire to use Org Apps, but as they are currently in preview, they're not yet fully released. To ensure a stable and productive experience, we recommend using Workspace apps for the time being.
We're actively working on improving and expanding Org Apps, and we thank you for your patience.

What is the timeline to fully release Org Apps?
Hello @arock-well ,
I have consulted with our internal experts regarding this matter. Currently, it is clear that Microsoft is actively working on it. As per the documetation Estimated release timeline: Q2 2025.

Thanks for that. However, it still says "Public Preview" for those updates. Do you know when it will go to General Availability?

Hello @arock-well,
This is a known limitation in certain scenarios.
I would perhaps recommend creating bookmarks for common slicer settings and train users to use them to restore preferred configurations quickly.
Alternatively - If users frequently select specific slicer values, consider setting default slicer values dynamically using parameters or calculated measures. While this won't persist selections, it can ensure the most relevant defaults are always loaded.
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, this is a deal breaker for using an Org App instead of a traditional Workspace App.
We don't have time to create unique bookmarks and train users in Org Apps to get them to do something that is already inherent within Workspace Apps that they're already used to. We had planned on using Org Apps in an upcoming release of reports, but will probably have to keep using Workspace Apps unless this is resolved soon.
