The source is a SharePoint folder, and refresh/credentials work fine in the desktop version, but when I try to add the sharepoint source to the on premises gateway (see attached), I get the following error:

One thing I've noticed is that there's no option for two-factor authentication OAth2 like there is in the desktop version. Help!!! The lack of live refresh is not helping my case to sell Power BI to management. We're looking at Qlik as well as it seems to be less error prone and more ready for primetime, but we'd prefer Power BI if we could get it to work properly.

Hi @dniedrauer,
That is a limitation of on-premise gateway, maybe you can try to personal gateway to instead, it support combine datasources.

Hi @dniedrauer,
Please refer to below link to correctly configure your datasource:
How to configure On-premises Gateway to SharePoint Folder source
Regards,
Xiaoxin Sheng
From the link:
"On-premises gateway doesn't allow you to combine online data sources and on-premises data sources. This is a known issue that has been submitted in the following link and the feature that using on-premises gateway to work with online data sources is under review, please vote it."
Is this still an issue? If so, this could be my problem too...
