On-Premises Connection Sharing Best Practices

    Hi kdoherty ,

     

    As per my knowledge in power bi adminstration.

    >We have multiple gateways across the world we will create the connections on the gateway which is close to db location.

    >We don't provide direct access to gateways to all users.If anyone needs a connection(on-premises data gateway) we will create it for them and they will share it with their team/colleagues.

    Note-They will be able to update connection details if there is any change in password

     

    These is how we manage things in our tenant.
