OS for ON-premises Data Gateway

We want to install on-premises data gateway but we are confused to use Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows 10 Enterprise edition. I want to clear one thing, that we have 8-10 reports which needs to be updated on daily and hourly basis.

    Hi hemantbhalla,

Based on document, server 2012 should be better.

    Reference link:

    On-premises data gateway

For performance reason, the target device should has below feature:
    1. Not need to often close.
    2. Not contains other unrelated services in background.
    3. Suitable for configure database.(direct deploy the related database on target device can improve refresh performance)
    4. Can simply expand hardware.

    Regards,
