OLS table permissions not applied in excel data coupling
Good afternoon,
I have a Role with OLS table permissions set to "None" for certain tables. In the PowerBI reports this works fine, the user can't see data related to those "None" tables. However, when connecting to the dataset in excel, these permissions seem to be exceeded as all tables are visible and usable. How can I apply OLS through the excel connection?
The user has "Viewer" permissions in the workspace and "Read" permissions on the dataset.

Try changing the dataset permissions to Build.

Thanks for the reply! I'm trying to limit the tables that are available to the user with read rights to whatever tables I've selected in the OLS for their assigned role. Currently the user can see more tables in excel than they are permitted in their role through OLS. Can it be that OLS isn't enforced through excel?
