Hi
Apologies if this ends up being a double post, i had posted this issue but now can not find the post any where,
Resonably new user to PowerBi but have been able to work around most things so far until hitting this,
We have a system on site that uses REST and i have created an SSL for the server which works fine scross site on any systems the certs are installed to, PowerBi Desktop is happy using this cert for an OData link to the REST api,
The certs are on the server that is running our gateway but i can not set up a datasource to it on the gateway in the PowerBi Service, i get the following error
Underlying error code: | -2147467259 |
Underlying error message: | OData: Request failed: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel. |
Should this work with a self create cert if it is working onsite and is on the gateway server?
anyone have any suggestions on what i need ot look at or do?
Thank You

Thank you for the links, some helpfull reading there,
I have now fixed the problem, i was trying to work it the same as a data source on a file share - setting the top level and mapping to it, the connection was not working to the top level of the REST api which does work in a browser,
Setting a datasource for each api routine we are using works fine and has moved me on.
