New Workspace OneDrive not linking

We recently created a New workspace and are having trouble now connecting OneDrive storage. We're following the steps in this article, https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-create-the-new-workspaces

Here's what we've done so far:

  1. Created the new workspace
  2. Separately, created and O365 group with the same name as the workspace
  3. Uploaded files to the group's Sharepoint site
  4. Added the group name to the workspace's advanced setting for OneDrive

When we click Get Data, then Files, only our Personal OneDrive is shown and not the OneDrive for the O365 group. We've waited several days, thinking the systems may need time to synchronize, but the group OneDrive still doesn't show up in Power BI.

Has anyone else had trouble connecting OneDrive storage to a New workspace?

    Hi YMadden ,

Please add the o365 group owner to the menber list. And then, try it again. You will find the specific onedrive.

    Best Regards,

    Icey

    Hi YMadden ,

I have tested and it works well. Please check whether there is any difference between our steps.

    My steps:

    1. Create a New Workspace named "Test for Workspace OneDrive" in Power BI Service.

    2. Create a shared library in OneDrive for Business named "Test for Workspace OneDrive".

    3. Upload one test file.

    4. Set Workspace OneDrive in Workspace settings of the New workspace "Test for Worksapce OneDrive".

Note: not the classic workspace which is synchronized from OneDrive / SharePoint.

    5. Refresh the page, then Get data -> File. "OneDrive - Test for Worksapce OneDrive" appears.

If there is no difference and the issue is still there, it is suggested to create a support ticket to get further help.

    Best Regards,

    Icey

      Hi Icey ,

My Step 2 is different. Instead of creating a shared library in OneDrive, I created a group in O365 Admin portal. Steps 3 and 4 are the same. At step 5, I do not get the additional OneDrive option that was added in step 4.
