Linking Org Apps to Workspace App

Hi community,

I want to link the Org App as a report page inside the traditional Workspace App (they are in the same workspace). I tried it but it said Power BI refuses to connect. Is it because they are in the same workspace? Is there anyway to enable the link?

If this is possible, it also means that there is a workaround to add 1 more layer to the limited section hierrachy that the Workspace App has been limiting.

Thanks!

  • dgbn When using "Add a Link", you can only open embed links in the content area.

This is a limitation which is specified in the Microsoft Reference - Publish an app in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

As mentioned in my previous thread - If that's a requirement, you can only add it as a link that opens in a new tab or current tab in the browser.

    Hi dgbn,

Org Apps cannot be added as a content like adding reports in the traditional Workspace App.

If required, you can add the Org App as a Link that opens in the current tab or new tab in the browser.

      Hi Rupa01 ,

Yes that was what I want to add - a Link to the Org App in the Workspace App. But it does not work...

      The set-up:

      The preview:

Even if I tried publishing, still the same message error.
