New Usage Metrics Unnamed Users

hi all,

we have updated our work areas to use the new User Metric. Now unfortunately only 1 is shown in the Unique viewers, is that normal in the new metrics?

We have deliberately set the setting: "Per-user date in usage metrics for contant creater".

Hi there

Can you clarify what you mean by "Per-user date in usage metrics for contant creater"?

Hi,

i mean the Setting Admin Portal > Tanant settings > Audit and usage settings < Per-user data in usage metrics for content creators > deactivate.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Based on this documentBy default, per-user data is enabled for usage metrics, and content consumer account information is included in the metrics report. If admins don’t want to expose this information for some or all users, they can disable the feature for specified security groups or for an entire organization. Account information then shows in the report as Unnamed.

Hello,

yes i know this but my Question was is it normal that only 1 unique viewers are shown in the new report even if e.g. 10 different users watched the report?

An example:
There are 10 users looking at the report.

Result:

Old Report: 10 Unique viewers

New Report: 1 Unique viewers

I would imagine that it should be 10 if all 10 people were different?

Hi @Anonymous ,

Sorry for that, but we cannot reproduce your issue, could you please try to verify if the classic usage metrics can show the distinct users correctly? Does they are all Azure Guest Users?
