New Standard Visual

I see in the Service there is a new "KPI" standard visual.  Any links to how to get the best out of it?

I think this screenshot will help.  The example compares actual vs projected sales.  Each data record has a date, an actual sales value, and a projected sales value.  Note that the values in the KPI visual correspond to the last record in the period (i.e., the most recent date).,

Indeed, I am excited as well by this new visualization. But incredibly enough, not a single trace of a tutorial or guide ::::
