.Net Core Application Integration with Power BI

Hello,

We are an ISV and we had tthe intention to embbed power bi reports into our product so that our customers can use it.

But it looks like, when using Power BI embedded we have to pay more than 700$ monthly, and for us this not possible for the moment. We want to give our customers the possibility to get data analysis reports via our application (They are using an azure active directory authentication B2C). Any suggestions for a cheapper solution?  we only need to get small percentage of power bi embedded capabilities, can we pay less? can power bi for organization or Pro be an alternative?

Thank you in advance.

Hi there

If you want to embed Power BI into your product the only option is Power BI Embedded.

Whilst the smallest is $700 a month that is if you run it 24/7 You could stop it over night and on weekends to save costs?

Hi @GilbertQ

Thank you for your clear answer, since we have some clients from very different time zones (North America, central Europe, middle east, Australia, etc), and we are totally new to PBI we think it will be bit challenging to stop the service and run it or to ask the customer to see reports only 1 hour per day.

Can we use the Power BI Embedded (Embed content for organization concept) while we ask every customer to get a Power BI Pro Account ($9.99 Monthly per user) with having the possibility to automate the service running time for every account or azure tenant?

We highly appreaciate yout answer.

Hi there

You could possibly look at that, it will still prompt them to log into Power BI and not be fully embedded in your application.

And once you get to 70 users it might be more cost effective to use Power BI Embedded then.
