Missing Workspace After Tenant Migration

Hello,

We are currently working on a Power BI tenant migration from INFY to TATA.

Power BI reports and users (e.g., [email protected], [email protected]) were originally in the INFY tenant.
Power BI reports remains in INFY tenant.
Only TATA users (e.g., [email protected]) are moving to the TATA tenant.

I have the Fabric Administrator role.
I verified that the user exists as a member/guest in INFY Azure AD.

Previously, there was a workspace named "GLOBAL_SECURITY" in the INFY tenant.
After migration, [email protected] logged into the INFY tenant and switched tenant to INFY, but he is unable to see the "GLOBAL_SECURITY" workspace.
I also checked, and I am not able to see the same workspace in the INFY tenant either.
His new email raja_tata.com#EXT#@MyINFY.onmicrosoft.com has to be added to the workspace.

Question:
What options do we have to restore or locate the missing workspace after migration?

Thanks,

  • Hi YashikaAgrawal

I think we need more information for how you did the migration.

If the workspace was accidently deleted, you can recover it in the admin portal if the retention period hasn't passed, by default it is 7 days I think.

      Thank you for the reply.

      1 mistake here

After migration, [email protected] logged into the INFY tenant and switched tenant to TATA, but he is unable to see the "GLOBAL_SECURITY" workspace.
I also checked, and I am not able to see the same workspace in the INFY tenant either.

I dont have permission, workspace still exist in INFY tenant.

Only users got migrated to TATA tenant.

Quest tool was used to migrate the users,

        Hi YashikaAgrawal

If you're sure the workspace exists, but you can't see it, then it has to be a permissions thing. If you have the fabirc administrator role, then you can assign people to the workspace from the admin portal.

Can you find the workspace in the admin portal?
