Microsoft Fabric

Need Help 😞

(1) Is it possible to use all Power BI and Microsoft Fabric features with an F SKU < 64 if all users in the company have a Pro version, or are there features that are only reserved for F SKUs 64 and above?

(2) What capacities are available and is there possibly a calculator that can be used to determine which capacity best meets individual requirements?

(3) Do you pay extra for the OneLake depending on the storage volume used or is that already covered by the capacity?

(4) What is the difference between PPU and capacity and where can I find the prices for the fixed capacity models?

Hi @ReneWynands95 ,

  1. Only P SKUs and F SKUs larger than F32 allow free Power BI users to consume Power BI apps and shared content in Power BI service. Smaller F SKUs require a Pro license to consume Power BI content.vrongtiepmsft_0-1692582566193.png

  2. I cannot sure if there is calculator available to determine which capacity best meets individual requirements.        vrongtiepmsft_1-1692583455000.png

  3. OneLake is a single, unified, logical data lake for the whole organization. Like OneDrive, OneLake comes automatically with every Microsoft Fabric tenant and is designed to be the single place for all your analytics data. vrongtiepmsft_2-1692584007418.png

  4. PPU stands for Premium Per User, which is a type of per-user license that gives you access to most of the features and capabilities of Power BI Premium. Power BI Premium is a capacity-based license that gives you dedicated resources for your content and allows you to distribute it without per-user licenses for content consumers. The main difference between PPU and capacity is that PPU is based on individual users while capacity is based on organizational needs. PPU is suitable for small or medium-sized teams that want to use premium features without purchasing a large capacity. Capacity is suitable for large-scale deployments that require high performance, scalability, and unlimited distribution.                                                                              vrongtiepmsft_4-1692584209971.png
