Matrix freeze row headers resets every time report is opened in Power BI Service
Hi Anonymous,
Currently, the native Power BI Matrix visual does not support unfreezing rows — the frozen row header behavior is part of its design and cannot be turned off.
As a workaround, you can achieve this using a Deneb custom visual. With Deneb, you can build a matrix‑like layout from scratch, which allows rows to scroll freely without any frozen behavior.
Below is the sample using Deneb Custom Visual -
