Hi All,
I have set up an on-prem data gatway for power BI to fetch data from a database using ODBC source connectors. I have a requirement where I would lilke to publish new tables created in the same source database to be made available in the published dataset on power BI service/web. Is there a way the end users can automatically discover new tables created in the source database using the existing Power BI Dataset? Without having to publish the new table every time using the Power BI desktop.
thanks
Hi @disconinja
The answer is simply No. The only role of Power BI Gateway is to connect the service to the source in order to refresh the dataset. Only developper can add a table to the dataset via Power BI Desktop or Power Query Online for Dataflows.
