Issue with report refresh

Hi everyone!

We're facing some issues with Power BI report refresh in Power BI Service. Each time after refresh (both manual and scheduled), we're receiving the following error: "COM error: mscorlib, A task was cancelled.. Table: <table_name>". A table name is different after each refresh.

Has anyone faced a similar issue and/or can provide a suggestion to resolve the problem?

Thank you in advance!

If you source system is SQL Server, then have a database administrator look at the SQL Server Error logs around the time the refresh failed. Look for 'timeout' in the text filter

Hi @Kari551 ,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.

Thank you @Thomaslleblanc for the prompt response.

1.Source Data Timeout

Open your report in Power BI Desktop.
Use Performance Analyzer to check query duration.
If using a gateway, go to Power BI Service > Manage Gateways and review logs for timeouts.

 2.Workspace/Capacity Resources

If you are on Premium or PPU, go to Power BI Service > Admin Portal > Capacity Settings.
Use the Capacity Metrics app to monitor memory, CPU, and refresh queues.

If you're on shared capacity, try refreshing during off-peak hours or reduce dataset complexity.

Thank you.

check the source data service to see if there are any timeout issues happening.

Or see if the resources availble in your workspace/capacity are maxed out

Thank you for your suggestion!

Could you please clarify where these options can be found?
