I am encountering an issue with refreshing data on the server Power BI with Kusto query. While the same query works fine locally, I am receiving a timeout error when attempting to execute it on the server.
Could you kindly assist me in resolving this issue?

Hi @v-sunitkumar ,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
The error you are receiving is raised when request execution has timed-out on the service side.
1) If Power BI is using an on-premises Data Gateway, the issue could be caused by network slowness or gateway overload. A slow or unstable network connection may result in timeouts, while an overloaded gateway handling multiple queries simultaneously can also impact performance. To resolve this, check the Gateway Status in Power BI Service → Manage Gateways, restart the gateway service, and ensure it is updated to the latest version.
2) Re check the Kusto Query efficiency and check if query complexity is slowing down performance which in turn leads to Time out error in service.
If you find this post helpful, please mark it as an "Accept as Solution" and consider giving a KUDOS.
Thanks and Regards
We dont enabled the Gateway for this model. SO Could you suggest any other thing ?
