Issue : with Configuring Data Source Connection in Power BI Service Using On-Premises Gateway

Hi everyone,I am facing an issue while configuring the data source connection in Power BI Service using an On-Premises Data Gateway. Here is the background of my setup:I have imported data from a PostgreSQL cloud database into Power BI Desktop using Import Mode by providing the database and server name, along with my username and password.I built a report in Power BI Desktop and published it to Power BI Service. Now, I want to schedule a refresh for this report, so I installed an On-Premises Data Gateway and am trying to configure the data source in Power BI Service with the same credentials (database name, server name, username, and password). However, I am unable to connect, and one thing I have noticed is that the OAuth2 authentication method option is missing in the authentication method dropdown. What I have tried so far:Ensured that the gateway is installed and running in standard mode.Checked that the PostgreSQL cloud database credentials are correct.Looked through the data source settings in Power BI Service but couldn’t find the OAuth2 authentication option.Could someone guide me through the following?Complete steps to configure the data source connection in Power BI Service using an On-Premises Data Gateway.Requirements for connecting to a cloud-based PostgreSQL database.Any troubleshooting steps to resolve the missing OAuth2 authentication method. Thanks in advance for your help!

This is the issue i am getting exactly

How @Sreekanth1996 ,

I found this article https://monocroft.com/how-to-fix-power-bi-postgresql-connection-error/#:~:text=To%20do%20this%2C%20l....

Which talks about this issue and talks about issues correlated to this error message.

I also found this article which has some troubleshooting steps:

https://powerbipoint.com/2024/01/22/fix-power-bi-refresh-error-could-not-load-file-or-assembly-or-on...

Thank you for your help, but I am unable to proceed further because I am a Power BI developer and don't have access to the server configurations. I was able to connect and load the data into Power BI Desktop by providing the credentials (server, database, username, and password as admin credentials). However, when trying to configure the data source with the same credentials in Power BI Service, I am getting the error mentioned in the screenshot, and I am not able to see the OAuth 2.0 option in the authentication method.

My PostgreSQL is hosted on Google Cloud Platform as a cloud-based data source provider. Please let me know exactly what needs to be done from the server side and Power BI side. If I am unable to handle the server-side configurations, I will pass the instructions to the DB Admin.
